I've just finished Stephen Kings' Under the Dome and I must say...

Wow!

Here's the summary and a little trailer.

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as the dome comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when or if it will go away.

Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens; town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician's assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing , even murder to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn't just short. It's running out. .

I really don't believe in the evolution theory.

I don't like the idea that the only reason I'm in this planet was because of some fish who stepped out of the ocean.

Heck, I'll be comforted if the human race was created by some super-duper intelligent aliens and are here for a reason.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In May I put gum in ling_ling83 's hair (-12 points). In October realitysgonemad and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). Last week I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In April I ruled Asscrackistan as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). Last Wednesday I pushed sakichi in the mud (-17 points). Overall, I've been nice (1008 points). For Christmas I deserve a Lego set!

All my loose change that had been collected in the last two years had finally been turned into paper money. That was done by visiting that machine, Coinstar.

The total: $66.90

Let me finish this post by saying that paper money stinks.
ATM machines are full of bacteria.

Tonight is the last day -er, night- before everyone in my family go on their Christmas vacation tomorrow morning.

I’m staying behind because, well, no money. Haha.

They’re going to Mexico City then to Oaxaca after that and while there’s a two-hour time difference from where I am (Cali), it stills feel much like they’re going across the world.

Well, the only bright side of being left behind is that I have plenty of time to kill on my own.

What the fuck... I just came across a picture and story that... UGH!

Unfortunately, just like a previous post of mine, it deals with animal abuse.

I'll leave both picture and the account of the person who took the picture under the Lj-cut.

The poor mother cat kept licking the kittens, hoping it would revive the kittens.

According to the family that adopted the stray cat, on the morning of the 11th when they heard the cat’s tragic cries, they rushed downstairs to discover this stray cat’s four kittens abused to death, and even placed in front of the mother cat. The kittens’ bodies were covered with bullet holes, with blood all over. One of the kittens had its neck tied with a rope and elongated, its chest cut open, heart exposed, while the other three kittens’ heads were stepped on.

If people can do this to helpless animals then...

It's so fucking sad.

So, Saturday, I went to Michaels, an art/craft type of store.
(actually, I was dragged in by my sister)

As you would expect, there were lots of artsy stuff inside.

…yes, you’ll even find those insect stickers you’ve been searching for.

Even a stamp that would serve as a reminder on the pros of growing older
(I’m already angsting at 25 - beh)

Beads. Hanging Beads. Everything beads. Play with them!

Christmas is around the corner, why not buy something loud to let the neighbors know?

… and no one can go wrong with the penguins.

Lots and lots of a ‘variety’ of Christmas flowers for you to pick out from.

Most importantly, you cannot forget the Christmas tree!
