In the last week and half my writing mood has been down. I’ve been lazy and somewhat uninterested. I wanted to write but I just couldn’t. So, as of yesterday, I did a little drabble on The Simpsons as a warm-up.

Lo’ and behold, that got my creativity going and I’m back to my normal ‘schedule’ of writing. My writing is divided into three stories, two of Naruto and one Harry Potter fanfiction. Yeah. I’m happy.

Here’s the info of The Simpsons drabble.

Title: 3 Minutes
Words: 220
Summary: All Moleman wanted was to purchase his toilet paper at the Kwik-E-Mart. Too bad Apu didn’t check to see whether anyone was left in the store before he locked it up to take a five minute break.

Now here’s a random thing I found off the ‘net.

This week has been odd.

My creativity has suddenly stopped....or is it just the headache that I have?

I should learn to speak a new language.

That way I can say I'm trilingual.

Which language should that be? The contenders: Italian. German. Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin).

It's funny really. I'm not that interested in learning for the sake of visiting the country. It's more of a "I just want to learn."

"Among the lucky, you are the chosen one."

Oh!

I highly recommend watching Curse of the The Golden Flower.

Plus I found this. It's Hitler's reaction to the Harry Potter movie delay.

So I write fanfiction, no big deal. Have I written an original story? Oh yes, but they're just one-shots or very short stories.

I enjoy writing.

It does not matter whether it's for fun or for school work. I really enjoy writing an essay and just like any other story, I follow the pattern of jotting down ideas/notes. It's just another way of exercising my mind/imagination while keeping everything real. Eh, some would say that's boring, I say it's fun.

Writing is writing to me.

When it comes to fanfiction, I keep in mind that I'm writing for fun. After all, the point of writing a story IMO is to release whatever creativity you have at the moment. I will admit that at the beginning, I was doing it to see a reaction - to see if I could get the attention of a reader. Once I did, I wanted more. Attention by readers means getting reviews.

I really LOVED it.

I then realized (and seen it mentioned before) that writing a fanfiction is not about getting reviews. It's about writing for the fun of it. To develop whatever talent you have, be it the descriptive process or the emotion set in any character.

The point is: Do not write to get reviews - write because you LOVE writing.

Getting any sort of attention is positive and a bonus, not to mention a confidence booster.

Which leads me to another thing.

There will always be people who do not like something for one reason or another. It's an opinion - never take it personally. If it's a critique - the better. That way, you may learn and improve in any future subject. I've seen how people drop off a blatant flame (Someone who just thrashes a story without being reasonable) just to...I really don't know. Either way a flame is not helpful as it involves a blatant disrespect from the reviewer.

Now to cap off this...uh whatever it is I've written...I will always be thankful for the Beta's. Without them, the errors in my writing will go unseen by me.

Something random:
